Poster prizes for the biofilm project
ISOPOL „21st international Symposium on Problems of Listeria and Listeriosis”
09/2024. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Kathrin Kober-Rychli and Nadja Prascer from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna won two poster prizes at ISOPOL 2024, which brought together the global Listeria research community and other food and health stakeholders in Norwich from September 10-13, 2024, to discuss new discoveries and ways to understand and control Listeria.
Dr. Kathrin Kober-Rychli and Nadja Pracser achieved impressive success at ISOPOL, winning two poster prizes in different categories.
- Kathrin Kober-Rychli: Award in the category „Scientific Discovery LISTERIA BIOLOGY“ Listeria monocytogenes is able to colonize and hide in a multi-species biofilm
- Nadja Pracser: Award in the category „Scientific Discovery: FOOD SAFETY“ The occurrence and ecology of Listeria in a frozen vegetable processing environment
These successes contribute significantly to research on Listeria and food safety and underline the relevance of the topics of biofilms in food processing and the safety of frozen vegetables.
